Open a Ren'Py archive to explore its packaged files. Browse scripts, images, audio and other assets, then download what you need.
Choose a .rpa file such as images.rpa, scripts.rpa or archive.rpa.
The server extracts the archive. Open its folders and inspect the packaged files in the result browser.
Download files or the result ZIP. Select a supported RPYC entry for a separate decompilation step.
RPA is the archive format used by the Ren'Py visual novel engine to package game files. An archive may hold backgrounds, character art, audio, fonts, readable scripts or compiled scripts. Games can split these across several archives, so a file named images.rpa may contain no dialogue or code.
Extraction makes the stored files available in a browsable directory tree. Supported media can use the site's previews, and individual files remain downloadable. The contents depend on what the game developer put in that particular archive.
Look for .rpyc entries in the extracted tree. These are compiled Ren'Py scripts: extracting them alone does not turn them into readable source. Use the entry's decompilation action, or download it and open it with the RPYC decompiler to recover .rpy where supported. An existing .rpy file is already readable text.
For .pyc, .pyo or Python archives, use the Python decompiler. A Game.rgssad, .rgss2a or .rgss3a archive belongs to a different engine; use the RPG Maker extractor.
This tool uses unrpa for extraction. Modified archive formats, protection or damaged data can prevent files from being recovered. Compatibility is not guaranteed for every Ren'Py game or archive variant.
The 700 MiB upload limit applies to the uploaded archive; extraction also has processing and output limits. A large archive can produce a partial result or fail. Extraction does not recreate missing assets, recover original script comments or assemble a complete Ren'Py project.
Upload the .rpa file here and wait for extraction. Browse its folders in the result page, open supported files and download individual entries or the result ZIP. No local extractor installation is needed.
Extraction exposes the files stored in the archive. An RPYC entry is still a compiled script; select it for nested decompilation to recover readable RPY where supported. An archive may contain only assets and no scripts at all.
The result contains what that archive held. Other archives, loose files, scripts or the matching Ren'Py runtime may still be needed. This extractor does not create RPA archives or guarantee a complete runnable project.
