NBT Viewer Online - 3D Structures and Minecraft Data
Preview Minecraft Java structures in 3D, or browse a typed NBT data tree. Search names and values, inspect arrays, and download the unchanged original file.
View Minecraft structures in 3D
Supported Java structure-block files open in the 3D structure tab. Orbit, pan, zoom, and hide upper layers to inspect the build. Switch to Data tree to inspect every tag. Player data, world metadata and other NBT documents open directly in the tree.
The preview uses vanilla Java 1.21.1 block models and textures. Modded or unsupported blocks appear as checkered placeholders with their names listed. Entities and custom block-entity details remain in the tree. 3D previews require WebGL and allow dimensions up to 512 per axis, a volume of 4,194,304 positions and 200,000 stored block entries, including air, within the NBT parsing limits below. Other structure and schematic formats retain the tree view.
Open an NBT file as a typed tree
Upload a .nbt file to open its preview. Supported structures open in 3D; other NBT documents open in Data tree. Expand compounds and lists, search tag names and scalar values, and inspect array entries. Raw and Download keep the original bytes, including their compression.
Compression and byte order
The viewer recognizes raw, gzip and zlib-compressed NBT with Java big-endian, Bedrock little-endian or little-varint encoding. Compressed files may also use .nbt.gz or .nbt.zlib. Detection validates the document; a filename alone does not establish support.
Previews allow up to 20 MB of input, 64 MB expanded data, 200 nesting levels, 1,000,000 tags and one million entries per array. Each structure block contains several tags, so the tag limit can be reached before the block-entry limit. Damaged, unsupported or over-limit data keeps its raw view and original download with a preview-unavailable note.
Can I edit or render a Minecraft world?
This is a read-only structure and data viewer. It does not edit saves, render complete worlds, or open a Bedrock LevelDB database. A world package and an individual NBT document are different inputs: use the MCWORLD inspector for a packaged world, or the MCPACK inspector for a resource pack.
