Modern Flash and Animate projects

Upload a compressed FLA, or ZIP the complete uncompressed XFL project folder. Include DOMDocument.xml, LIBRARY, bin and companion source files. One wrapping folder is allowed. An XFL marker or DOMDocument.xml alone does not contain the full project.

Browse scenes, library symbols, scripts and media in the standard folder and file browser. Scene and symbol metadata includes ordered layers and frames, labels and references to library items and scripts. Open metadata in the JSON viewer, read supplied and embedded ActionScript, and preview supported images and sounds. Raw XML, original video files and undecoded media remain downloadable. This is project extraction and source inspection; it does not run scripts or play animations.

Legacy binary FLA

Flash 5, MX, MX 2004, 8, CS3 and CS4 OLE projects receive partial recovery: original scene and symbol streams, optional recovered shapes, metadata and possible scripts. Original stream identifiers are shown when authoring names cannot be recovered. Unhandled features, older variants and missing tools are identified explicitly. The original upload remains available.

Partial results and limits

Damaged XML, missing companions, unsupported media and parser failures are reported without hiding recovered content. Processing shares the archive limits: five minutes, 1 GiB expanded data, 256 MiB per member, 25,000 entries, four nested layers and 1,000 recovery attempts. Metadata, bitmap pixels and individual legacy subprocesses have additional bounds.

For a compiled Flash movie, use the SWF decompiler, which reconstructs source and XFL from SWF bytecode. For authoring projects, upload them here.
